On August 18, 2013, brothers Sara María and Carlos Arnaud Gómez decided to make a dream come true: to open a Mexican cuisine restaurant that would rescue some flavors of their grandmother's old recipes and their native state in a different way. , incorporating modern standards and a strong passion for cooking.

"Passion for Mexican flavors" is our DNA; this is Apoala: a project that combines the rescue of family recipes and the art of cooking, all enriched by the experience and culinary creative style of chef Sara.

The Arnaud brothers have brought a touch of their native Oaxaca to Mérida, with a fusion of ingredients and Mexican recipes; Oaxacan and Yucatecan Apoala, a comfortable environment for lunch or to spend a pleasant evening with cocktails, wines, craft beers and mezcales, located in the best place in the center of the city of Mérida, the Santa Lucia park.
